Department of Creative Industries WA - CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FUND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Contemporary Music Fund Development Program supports career changing opportunities for individuals, bands and music industry professionals.

DEPARTMENT OF CREATIVE INDUSTRIES WA - ARTS SHORT NOTICE ACTIVITY PROGRAM

The program supports the growth of a vibrant sector that promotes the participation and active engagement of Western Australian artists and arts workers in high quality arts and cultural opportunities. Grants of up to $5000 for national and regional opportunities, and up to $10,000 for international, are available for individuals and groups.

WILLOUGHBY CITY COUNCIL - YOUNG COMPOSER AWARD 2026

The Young Composer Award (YCA) is an annual national competition established to provide young Australian composers with the unique opportunity to compose for a symphony orchestra. The YCA provides the award recipient with both a concert performance and live recording of the successful composition by the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra.

ARTS QUEENSLAND - ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER ARTS DEVELOPMENT FUND

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Development Fund (the Fund) provides one-off grants to support the development and presentation of new creative performing arts work by Queensland-based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, arts companies, groups and organisations. It also seeks to connect exceptional visual artists and fashion and textile artists and their work to national and international audiences and markets.

IAN POTTER TRUST - EMERGING ARTIST GRANTS PROGRAM

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust runs funding rounds through which individual artists can apply for grants of up to $15,000. The Trust funds nationally and supports artists working across the spectrum of the arts, from traditional art forms through to experimental mediums.

CREATIVE AUSTRALIA - ASIA PACIFIC ARTS AWARDS 2027

The awards are open to individuals, collectives and organisations from all Australian states and territories who have been engaged in building stronger, deeper and broader cultural links between Australia and its regional partners through people-to- people connections, opportunities for cultural exchange, expertise and knowledge sharing, and projects of high artistic merit.

CREATIVE AUSTRALIA - MUSIC AUSTRALIA CORE CONTRIBUTION FUND

The Music Australia Core Contribution Fund supports Australian music organisations that represent specific cohorts of Australian artists and industry professionals. These include peak bodies, trade associations and member organisations. It provides a two-year investment for core operations and staffing to build stability and capacity in the Australian contemporary music sector.

CREATE SA - TOURING SUPPORT

Open to funded organisations only (small-to-medium and major organisations), this grant supports the expansion of markets through regional, national and international touring. Touring Support provides opportunities to extend audiences and the life of South Australian works and includes all art forms.

This grant supports artists and organisations to build a national and international profile through the development of relationships, networks and market opportunities. The category covers all art forms and the activity must benefit South Australian artists.

CREATE SA - INDEPENDENT ARTISTS AND GROUPS

This grant supports the development, production and presentation of new works by independent artists and groups across all art forms.

Development of new work might involve periods in the studio or rehearsal room or working with other artists. Applicants may seek assistance towards various stages of the work’s development, with or without a public outcome. Research projects are eligible if the applicant has a track record of achievement.

REGIONAL VICTORIA - QUICK RESPONSE GRANTS

Quick Response Grants fund professional development opportunities for artists and arts workers or small project opportunities. The program supports the immediate need that arises where the activity is unable to be planned for or supported in other funding rounds, for example taking up professional development, skills development or small project opportunities at short notice.

DARWIN COMMUNITY ARTS - QUICK RESPONSE GRANTS

Individuals can apply for up to $1,000 per financial year. If you live in a very remote part of Australia and your activity includes travel, you may be eligible for up to an additional $500 per financial year to help cover travel costs.

Live Nation’s Next On

Next On is a new program designed to boost developing Australian and New Zealand artists, giving them the chance to "own the stage" and launch their careers. Every month, one artist will get the keys to an iconic Live Nation venue - rent-free. All costs are covered, and every dollar from ticket and merch sales goes straight back to the artist.

Regional Arts NSW: Quick Response Grants

Quick Response Grants are now available monthly from February to November, with decisions announced five days after each month’s end. Individuals can apply for up to $3,000; organizations up to $5,000.

Support Act Crisis Relief Grants

Crisis Relief Grants are available to musicians, managers, crew, and music workers facing financial hardship due to illness, injury, mental health, age, or other crises affecting their ability to work. Approved grants cover bills or personal expenses related to the crisis through direct payments, rather than cash.

Carriage Studio Artist Residency

Carriage Studio is offering 3-day residencies for artists and producers in or visiting Naarm/Melbourne. The space is fully equipped for production, mixing, mastering, and overdub recording, featuring audio interfaces, microphones, preamps, compressors, MIDI instruments, a weighted piano, guitars, high-quality monitoring, and stream decks. Just bring your laptop, and you're ready to create!

The Australian Cultural Fund

The Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) serves as a fundraising platform dedicated to supporting Australian artists. Artists can utilise the ACF to present their projects, launch fundraising campaigns, and encourage art enthusiasts and supporters to contribute.
