Emerging Artist Grants program
The Ian Potter Cultural Trust offers the Emerging Artist Grants program, with grants of up to $15,000 to assist talented emerging and early-career artists in taking up professional development opportunities, usually overseas.
💰 Up to $15,000
🗓 Closing date: January 20 2026
NSW Touring and Travel Fund
The revamped funding program supports domestic and international travel activity for NSW contemporary music artists, acts and music industry professionals.
The fund is now split into two programs:
Domestic Travel and International Professional Development
Supporting travel and accommodation costs for domestic tours, performance and attendance at significant local or overseas artist showcase events and professional development opportunities.
💰 Up to $5,000 per person
🗓 Applications close 12pm (midday) on the last Friday of each month
International Touring
Supporting travel and accommodation costs for significant international tours.
💰 Matched funding up to $30,000
🗓 Applications accepted in quarterly rounds (next two rounds closing 12pm (midday) Friday 30 January and Friday 24 April)
NSW Local Audience Development Grants
Local Audience Development Grants support music businesses and industry professionals to promote and connect local music communities to local audiences in order to grow audience engagement and attendance.
The fund is split into two programs:
Promoting NSW music (💰 Up to $200,000)
Live music events and all ages programming (💰 Up to $100,000)

Contemporary Music Touring Program
CMTP supports national touring activity undertaken by Australian musicians performing original Australian contemporary music. The tour must comprise of performances in at least three venues or locations outside of the performer’s hometown. Tours that include regional and remote destinations, or which assist performers residing in regional and remote areas to tour, are a priority for funding.

Live Nation’s Next On
Next On is a new program designed to boost developing Australian and New Zealand artists, giving them the chance to "own the stage" and launch their careers. Every month, one artist will get the keys to an iconic Live Nation venue - rent-free. All costs are covered, and every dollar from ticket and merch sales goes straight back to the artist.

Regional Arts NSW: Quick Response Grants
Quick Response Grants are now available monthly from February to November, with decisions announced five days after each month’s end. Individuals can apply for up to $3,000; organizations up to $5,000.

Regional Arts Victoria
Quick Response Grants assist with unplanned professional development or small projects, providing up to $3,000 for individuals and $5,000 for organizations to seize opportunities at short notice.

Support Act Crisis Relief Grants
Crisis Relief Grants are available to musicians, managers, crew, and music workers facing financial hardship due to illness, injury, mental health, age, or other crises affecting their ability to work. Approved grants cover bills or personal expenses related to the crisis through direct payments, rather than cash.

Carriage Studio Artist Residency
Carriage Studio is offering 3-day residencies for artists and producers in or visiting Naarm/Melbourne. The space is fully equipped for production, mixing, mastering, and overdub recording, featuring audio interfaces, microphones, preamps, compressors, MIDI instruments, a weighted piano, guitars, high-quality monitoring, and stream decks. Just bring your laptop, and you're ready to create!

The Australian Cultural Fund
The Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) serves as a fundraising platform dedicated to supporting Australian artists. Artists can utilise the ACF to present their projects, launch fundraising campaigns, and encourage art enthusiasts and supporters to contribute. Remarkably, every dollar donated goes directly to the artists' creative endeavours.
